Abstract

This work describes a robust control approach for calculating controller gain. For a three-phase dc-ac inverter with an output LC filter, robust control techniques were used. The control rule is given in a synchronous dq frame and was developed using a discrete-time state space design approach. It integrates the tracking error and uses state feedback. A linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based optimization determines the gains of the controller. Furthermore, sine pulse width modulation (SPWM) is a technique used by IGBTs to implement switching states. The probable ranges of the capacitor and inductor values are how the system's uncertainties are expressed. On the output three-phase inverter, a simulation test with a resistive load is applied. The control algorithms in all of these works are validated using simulations in MATLAB, Microsoft Visual Studio, and PSIM. The three-phase inverter has an excellent performance with output response, stability, robustness, and low total harmonic distortion (THD) by employing a robust technique with an output LC filter.  Particularly, the simulation results in this research show that robust control approach performs better than PI control method and has a higher efficiency.
