Abstract | In the field of power generation, numerous issues must be addressed, one of these issues is Economic Dispatch (ED). Researchers are actively working to tackle this problem in order to meet energy demand with high efficiency. Economic Dispatch (ED) is a critical matter that needs resolution in order to minimize the cost of electricity generation, ulti-mately reducing the cost of electricity produced by fuel. Various theories have been pro-posed by researchers to address specific ED challenges. In this research, the utilization of the Hybrid Big Bang Big Crunch (HBB-BC) method to address the Economic Dispatch (ED) problem. The methodology is tested through MATLAB simulation, evaluating two distinct scenarios based on the IEEE 6 Bus system consisting of three generators and the IEEE 26 Bus system with six generators. In the first case, utilizing the IEEE 6 Bus standard system with three generators, the total power, the total cost amounts to $2689.56. In the second case, applying the method to the IEEE 26 Bus standard system with six generators, the total cost amounts to $15447.15. |
