Abstract | Anaerobic Digestion (AD) is a technology that produces biogas from various biomass sources. This study demonstrates the production of biogas from food waste mixed with cow dung by experiments. In this experiment, it was done in Batch type using a Fixed dome digester made of 50 L PVC tank. The experimental conditions were 100% food waste (BD1), food waste and cow dung 50:50 (BD2), food waste and cow dung 25:75 (BD3) and 100% cow dung (BD4). In four cases, food waste and cow dung were stored in a digester for 40 days, and biogas such as methane, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide were measured using an Intelligent gas detector every 10 days, and the volume of the biogas was measured at once every 5 days. As a result, food waste mixed with cow dung 25:75 (BD3) gets the most methane and volume and takes 25 days to burn. |
