Abstract

Using Abaqus software offer several advantages, one of which is high tensile strength. of course, tensile strength reflects the maximum amount of stress or tension the bolted joint can sustain at any given time without breaking. Joint member stiffness in a bolted connection directly influences the safety of a design in regard to both static and fatigue loading, as well as in the pre-vention of separation in the connection. The purpose of this topic is observation the bolt joint of stress distribution using Abaqus software. This work provides a new simple model for computing the member stiffness in bolted connections for both fully and partially developed stress envelope fields. Standard carbon steel that has code number S45C is use in experiments with mechanical behaviors of it like young’s modulus, tensile strength, Poisson’s ratio and isotropic hardening to simulation with Abaqus software. Through the results of the analysis using Abaqus it confirms a significant variation that allows us to clearly see the Stress, grain size variation and size and growth of the metal after being subjected to applied loads. Using the Abaqus software, it provides the benefit of analyzing the mechanical variations of structures, assisting the learner in calculations by reducing the time and budget of partial experiments.
