Abstract | The performance study of fire-tube boiler for steam generation is conducted in this study. The fire-tube boiler due to generated steam 0.83-0.93 kg/s (full load) at steam temperature of 186 °C and steam pressure of 10.5 bar with exhaust gas heat source from internal combustion engine (ICE) at 360-388 °C and 60 mbar. From the study, the operating and experimental data is collected and analyzed. The result show that the rate of generated steam varies in a range of 0.14-0.62 kg/s at steam pressure and temperature of 1.1-9.5 bar and 102.63-177.72 °C, respectively. With exhaust gas heat source temperature varies range 236-338 °C. In addition, the boiler efficiency is found to be in range of 57-62%. |
