Abstract

Comparisons in the use of reinforced concrete and Post tension concrete have shown that theoretical and practical studies in real-world construction have different characteristics and actually have different advantages and disadvantages.
Related to cracks in fiber flooring and reinforced concrete using ACI 318 and Euro code 2 are also different.
For the topic research, we define the analysis and calculation of tendon distribution based on ACI and PTI standard code which classify into two classification of tendon distribution: Banded Tendon and Distributed Tendon Layout. To enhance the analysis of the Cracking slab under the two Classifications, we use ADAPT BUILDER 2019.
Based on the researched result, under initial/transfer stage, the cracking of post tension slab using distributed tendon layout system is smaller than that using banded tendon layout system. However, under service/working stage load and long term cracking, the cracking of post tension slab using distributed tendon layout system is almost the same as that using banded tendon layout.
Therefore, for post tension slab calculation, we should prefer distributed tendon layout system due to its low cracking then band tendon layout
