Abstract

The present study addresses the calculation of the deflection of reinforced concrete beams under concentrated load in mid span using different standard such as Russian code and ACI standard, compared with actual beam test result and the result of calculation in computer program ANSYS. By divided element of beam 10 time in bending diagram, then determine the deflection by integration Morh method and calculate deflection according to ACI standard and Russian standard. The result we got a difference deflection depending by loaded. Then compared the result of the beam deflection according to Russian standard, ACI standard with actual beam test result and compared with the result of deflection by using ANSYS.
As result shown that, when compared with actual beam test result and different standard such as Russian code and ACI standard and computer program ANSYS got result of calculation different value is slightly biased. The result of deflection by Russian standard compared with actual beam test were different 8.47%, Compared between ACI Code and actual beam test were different 5.18% and compared the result of calculation deflection in ANSYS were different 6.48%. However, the results different less than 10% that permitted for these values.
