Abstract

The study of this thesis is describe about the analysis of the reinforcement concrete diaphragm wall by comparison between the Limit Equilibrium Method (LEM) with the Finite Elements Method (FEM).
The purpose of this study is to compare the above methods to obtain safety conditions, economic and comply with technical standards for current needs.
This dissertation describes many methods and formulas that taken from the works of scholars in the world. In that, this study also mentioned some other solve each step before reaching the analysis by the above two methods. Such as Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) by AASHTO code, AISC code, ACI code.
In handling, verifying and analyzing FEM methods, Plaxis 2D software is also used as an aid.
Otherwise, we hope that this dissertation will provide knowledge and leave a document for those who are interested and the next generation of students to
continue research to strengthen capacity as well as serve the interests of our society.
Finally, we would like to apologize for any inaccuracies that may have been fail both written and calculation, and also accept constructive criticism and suggestion.
