Abstract

As per the energy efficiency concern, Shading effects are a common problem in photovoltaic (PV) systems. In partial shading condition, cells or modules of the PV receives various levels of solar irradiance cause reducing the efficiency of photovoltaic module. This project presents the ccomparative analysis of the effect of partial shadows on a 4×9 PV cell configuration like series (S), series parallel (SP), total cross tied (TCT), bridged linked (BL), honey comb (HC). The performance of different cell configurations is studied through MATLAB/Simulink and compared in terms of shading loss, mismatch loss, fill factor are considered parameters on result analysis of partial shading to PV system.
