| Abstract | Failures of RC flat slabs around column is mostly occurred by punching shear. Research studies by several researchers focusing on the punching shear behavior of RC slabs through experimentation are summarized and discussed. Moreover, some design codes such as ACI 318, Eurocode 2 and Model Code 2010 providing the expressions to predict the punching shear capacity of flat slab are also summarized and used to compute the punching shear capacity. This study compares the results of punching shear capacity from experiment with those from the codes. |
