Abstract

Power Electronics research is actively involved in converting the necessary supply power to the receiver at the required voltage and magnitude of power. The design of these power conversion circuits is now more efficient, smaller and less costly for the components due to the study of the technology of the converter circuit system and the electronic components to operate at a higher frequency and with less power loss. In this study, we conducted an experiment which showed a low-voltage to high-voltage DC-DC converter that convert from 48V DC to high
voltage 400V DC and a power of 500W based on the LLC Resonant Converter model circuit. This type of converter circuit operates in the conditions of variable frequency and constant duty-cycle is 50%. For this voltage converter circuit, Full Bridge Switching circuit is selected as Square Wave Generator circuit and Full Bridge rectifier is AC-DC Converter circuit. The Resonant Tank circuit is made up of three reactive components, one in series and the other in Magnetizing Inductance in the form of a parallel with a primary coil. To maintain voltage stability and efficiency when varying load requires a reliable Controller and good frequency adjustment. The implementation of the LLC Resonant Converter circuit system is done on MATLAB Simulink software. Simulation results show the use of PI Controller and Tunning Gain to find Kp and Ki coefficients on LLC circuits. This PI Controller method controls the switching frequency of the converter circuit to adjust the voltage at the Output (Vo) section.This LLC Resonant circuit operates in the Inductive Region. Under this condition, the current signal is slower than the voltage signal, resulting in Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) and reduced power loss on the switch, plus higher frequency conditions, and increased efficiency.
