Abstract | This thesis studies the sustainability of the pile cap using the strut-and tie method and also selects the calculation method using the beam theorem to verify the final answer. By applying the manual calculation for both methods : The calculation according to the beam theorem method based on the given hypotheses, the results of the study show that the working characteristics of the pile cap are different depending on the number of pile to be used in one pile cap. And the requirements of the amount of reinforced concrete also provide, respectively, which creates the sustainability of the entire pile cap. But the result of its sustainability is worth a very large number compared to the load exerted on the outside. Strut-and-Tie calculations also demonstrate the need for affordable reinforced concrete, which creates the support of the entire pile cap. All in all, the implementation of both methods for manual calculation really gives a clear result that the calculation using the strut-and tie method really provides lot of accuracy and savings. |
