Abstract

The recent times, Flat slab buildings are generally used for the construction because use of flat slab building provides many advantages above conventional RC Frame building in terms of economy, make use of space, easier formwork, architectural flexibility, and mostly shorter construction time. The Flat slab building in which slab is directly supported by columns, have been adopt in many buildings constructed a moment ago, due to the benefits of being reduction in floor-to-floor height.

For our analysis, we have use G+11 story building. The analysis used ETAB software. The study project measures 36m x 24m, with one staircase measuring 6m x 6m and two escalators measuring 3m x 3m, with columns measuring 400mm x 400mm, floor thickness 150mm, wall thickness 200mm. For loads include Dead Load = 10 kN / m, Live Load = 2.4 kN / m2, Wind load 91mile / hr = 146.45km / hr. = 40.681m / s. This profile is defined in all four case studies, with the only difference being the location of the Shear walls.

In this study, we focus on the comparative study of without shear wall and with other shear walls, where each shear wall is in a different position: without shear wall, with shear wall for exterior, cross, and for square type, analyzing a

number of factors Such as:

▪ Story Displacements

▪ Story Shear

▪ Story Drift

            ▪ Story Stiffness
