Abstract | Shear strength of three different types of flooring: flat plate, flat slab and beam slab were predicted using two different codes, ACI 318-19 and Eurocode 2. The study also included experimental floor plan data from previous researchers, nine flat plates and seven flat slabs. For beam slab, the dimension of the slab was typically chosen for determination purpose. The punching shear strength of the slabs was calculated and compared. The ACI 318-19 showed better results compared to those of the Eurocode 2. The results from Euro-code 2 were more conservative than those from the ACI 318-19. |
