Comparison of RC Short Column Based on Different Codes

The present study addresses on the topic of Comparison of RC Short Column Based on Different Codes. Cambodia does not yet have its own standard code for using in design and construction, hence there are two different standard codes are selected to study and compare are ACI 318-19 and EC 2-2004. A 10-storey reinforced concrete office build-ing is selected and modeled on two different modelling by using a computer-software (Etabs) and setting the same usage conditions to obtain the area of longitudinal of the col-umns on each floor for the comparative study and identification which of the two codes is more economical than one.
