Abstract | Strain hardening plays very important role in plastic deformation of a material especially for sheet metal forming process. Isotropic and Kinematic hardening are the two types of strain hardening that used to identify the mechanical behavior of a material in the plastic region. Some sheet metal may contain isotropic or kinematic or even in both hardening depends on material anisotropy during manufacturing. In some forming process where multi-path process is not necessary, both hardening behaviors can be substituted in analytic procedure without affecting to the results. How-ever, without understanding the hardening behavior of the material, simulation results may not ac-curate enough if material is under cyclic loading. In this paper, G300 galvanized steel with isotropic and kinematic hardening were identified numerically and used as material’s parameters in the sheet metal bending analysis using Abaqus software to investigate the impact of both hardening rules in the simulation results. Simulation showed an identical investigation result of the simulation and can be observed via the stress-strain curve data plotting. Using these two hardening rules in the simulation, it helped us to predict the changes in mechanical behavior in forming process without do the laboratory experiment. |
