Abstract

The number of traffic accidents and theft of vehicles which are increasing every day around the world, has become the problem for people nowadays. Traffic accidents in remote areas cause difficulty for asking emergency help for the victim moreover, most vehicle owners worried about missing their vehicle and hopeless to find it back. This paper aims to introduce a new system called VALIS, Car Accident Location Identified System, that can locate the location of crashed or thieved vehicle and gives alert sign to the hospital and the local police station there. This system has been developed and implemented using Digital Accelerometer Sensor. If there is an accident, this system immediately transmits the location to the emergency care through Short Message Service (SMS). The other nature of this paper provides users with the capability to track transportation remotely lost through the mobile network. The system will utilize GPS to obtain a vehicle’s coordinate and transmit it using GSM modem. In this case, the owner or user can easily find the automobile after stolen by browsing the location in Map App that they receive from the GSM message. The result showed that the system could transmit and work perfectly.
